Emma Wilson

Creative Director

Emma WilsonThe Story Creative is run by myself, Emma Wilson.

I am a former BBC Video Journalist, an award-winning filmmaker within terrestrial News and the wedding industry and I am a Canon-recognised Videographer.

My background:

I have been working in broadcasting with radio and television for 25 years, since I left university where I studied Media Communications BA (Hons).

As ‘Emma Massey’ I worked as a reporter and producer and then a Video Journalist for the BBC, ITV, Reuters and Sky.

I have worked on documentaries, in factual programming and in news and current affairs.

I am experienced on both sides of the camera in both in broadcast and corporate fields.

My expertise as a Video Journalist lies in cinematic storytelling.

On any given story my job has been to report on the most important facts, decide on what the story is and tell it in a compelling way to a huge audience.

As a TV broadcast journalist this translates into making good TV in a short space of time, within a given programme.

I am a member of the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International. I also run a private Facebook group for UK Female Videographers, organising mentoring and workshops to develop skills in the videography industry among women.
